Documentary Film Makers Seeking High School Students for Documentary about Foreign Service TCKs

Ramona Diaz and her producing partner Capella Fahoome are in the very nascent stages of developing a major documentary film and/or series about third culture kids (TCKs), concentrating on Foreign Service youth.  To this end, they would like to locate and communicate with high school teens (and your parents, of course) who are either returning to the United States to attend high school in America for the very first time, or who are preparing to depart their current post and transition to another post overseas.

Ramona Diaz and Capella Fahoome are both nationally recognized filmmakers who have had films screened at top-tier international film festivals and broadcast nationwide and abroad.  Through the American Film Showcase http://americanfilmshowcase.usc.edu/ , a joint endeavor of the University of Southern California and the Department of State, Ramona has screened her films and conducted workshops in Morocco and Iraq.  For more of Ramona’s and Capella’s work, you can visit www.cinediaz.com and www.definingentertainment.com; and Ramona’s director’s reel can be viewed at: https://vimeo.com/68307663.

They would love to hear from interested teens and their parents who, by reaching out, are under no obligations.  They can be reached via the email listed below.

FSYF's art and essay contests are great ways for FS youth to reflect upon their experiences as FS children.  What observations can you make about yourselves, your experiences and the world around you?  FSYF challenges FS kids to take some time to reflect about the given themes and enter our contests.  There are really great cash prizes!  So why not give them a try?
