Are you a young
aspiring journalist? Or are you interested in helping others figure
out how not to let their parents ruin the next international move?
Are you up to date on the teen buzz around the world or ready to
find out about it? We are looking for several FS High School
students to work together to create the quarterly Wings of AWAL
newsletter. This is a great opportunity to build up your
college resume or your writing portfolio-and have a lot of fun!
Start date:
late August/early September 2008
Stipend:
$50 per issue (4 issues per year)
Application
deadline:
open until filled- (this means, if I get a great application, I will
not wait to pick it so don't procrastinate)
Qualifications:

American
Foreign Service high school student (or will be in September
2008) no senioritis!!

Knowledge of
the Foreign Service life-the pitfalls and the benefits
-
Love to write
and/or draw
-
Able to edit
(you need to know grammar)
-
Computer
savvy and email fluent!! You must be able to communicate
electronically
-
Ability to
work well with teens and adults
-
Responsible-able to meet deadlines!!, dedicated, outgoing,
creative
What do you have to do?
You and your co-editors will be required to write at least two full
articles for each edition of the newsletter and three fillers.
You will need to submit your article ideas in advance and your full
articles by the newsletter deadline.
