FSYF is
pleased to announce the results of the joint Transition
Center/Overseas Briefing Center and Foreign Service Youth
Foundation 2006 KidVid Contest. Oakwood Corporate Housing
generously donated the prize money.
This year's first place winners, Christian Lisko
(age 13) and Patrick Lisko (age 10) provided an appealing view of
life in Valetta, Malta from a youths perspective. Their lively
production included an engaging narrative, smooth transitions
between the various elements and inviting footage of this charming
Mediterranean post.
Second place winner, Anna Maria Ward (age 12),
submitted a comprehensive production on life in Quito, Ecuador.
Her thorough presentation of this sunny South American city
included a broad overview of all the required elements.
There was a tie for third place: Helsinki, Finland
and Vilnius, Lithuania.
Third place winners Anthony Oman (age 15) and
Thomas Litchfield presented an informative and well edited
collaborative production on life in Helsinki, Finland. Their
sophisticated narrative provided a comprehensive and inviting view
of life in this Nordic city.
Third place winner, Sean Patrick Kelly (age 13)
offered a broad view of life in attractive Vilnius, Lithuania.
Highlights of his footage and narrative contrasted the handsomely
restored historic portion of the city with the modern commercial
amenities available and the international school campus.
