Realities of Social Media

A teen's life revolves around their phone and apps like Instagram, SnapChat, and Kik to keep them connected, informed, and visible.  But do they really know who all of those online friends are?  What happens if a "friend" one day becomes a "cyber bully" the next? Who do they turn to for help? And, when it comes time to apply to college, for a scholarship, or a job, how will their social media record be scrutinized by the selection panel?  Join FSYF, the technology company STG, and cyber security experts for the answers to these and related questions about internet security.

This free session is designed for middle school and high school students and their Foreign Service parents.

Light refreshments will be provided.
