Here, There & Everywhere is the FSYF quarterly newsletter, written by and for Foreign Service kids and teens. We aim to publish it quarterly, once per season. For each issue, we seek contributions from FSY Youth of all ages (but we particularly welcome teen contributions). We seek a wide variety of genre including (but not limited to):
• Local community or school news
reports
• Interviews with friends or members of community
• Profiles
• comic strips
• riddles & word puzzles
• poetry
• local recipes
• tips about moving to your Post or attending your school
• advice columns
• essays about youth and foreign service life
• photographs
Accompanying photographs or graphics are welcome if they
enhance the contribution. Writers should consider their
audience of Foreign Service peers when deciding on a topic
or genre. Spring topics might include ‘departing post’,
‘maintaining relationships when you move’, ‘ideas for summer
vacation’, ‘dealing with stresses’, etc. Fall topics might
include ‘Settling in at a new school’, ‘Welcoming new
students’, ‘ making new friends’ etc. Winter topics might
include ‘maintaining family traditions, family travel
escapades’, etc. These are just ideas to get you started but
should not restrict you. Contributors should include their
name, age and/or grade, Post and/or School, photo (optional)
