The Foreign Service Youth Foundation sponsors three social groups in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. These groups offer Foreign Service youth the opportunity to spend time with old friends and make new friends with peers who understand their unique lifestyle.
Social Groups
• Diplokids—For FS youth in elementary school
• Globetrotters—For FS youth in middle school
• Around the World in a Lifetime (AWAL)—For FS youth in high
school
The social groups are led by FYSF program directors who have
experience living overseas, often as FS spouses or TCKs
(third-culture kids).
