This topic is almost too vast to discuss.  There is an enormous number of schools in the DC area.  If you're not already familiar with the area, here are some basics.


Public Schools in DC Metro Area
To attend your public school of choice, you need to be living within that school's service boundaries (with a few exceptions).  If you're not sure what the boundaries are, check with your realtor, school or county website.
