Mulch Madness & Park Clean Up

Mulch Madness is Coming in June!

College basketball may be over for the season, but Mulch Madness is still on the horizon!  Join FSFY on June 3rd from 9-11 AM as we launch a new partnership with the Northern Virginia Conservation Trust (NVCT). At this fun and educational event we’ll help NVCT and the Friends of Little Hunting Creek refresh the trails at Little Hunting Creek Preserve just in time for summer enjoyment. We will be distributing mulch on the path while learning about the shoreline property and its flora and fauna. Please RSVP if you are interested in attending, as space is limited to 25 participants.  Additional details on site location and what to bring/wear will be sent via email leading up to the event.  

Northern Virginia Conservation Trust is your regional nonprofit land trust. NVCT works daily to preserve Northern Virginia's land, water, and character. Over the last two decades, it has protected nearly 9,000 acres, serving more than three million residents.  Friends of Little Hunting Creek champions the preservation of open space, restoration of riparian habitats, and improvement in water quality in the Little Hunting Creek watershed.  It also seeks to promote recreational enjoyment of Little Hunting Creek by nearby neighbors and the general public.  We hope you’ll come out and meet our new friends!
