Bios:
Rebecca Grappo (M.Ed., C.E.P.) is the founder of RNG International Educational Consultants LLC™ and a Certified Educational Planner with over 20 years of experience guiding globally mobile families through educational transitions. Known internationally for her work in education, child development, and parenting, she helps students define their educational goals and creates tailored strategies to achieve them.
Rebecca's expertise spans a wide range of student profiles as well as international students seeking U.S. education. She has visited hundreds of colleges, boarding schools, and therapeutic programs to best support students’ unique needs. With years of teaching in international schools and working with students across academic and emotional spectrums, she is recognized as a leading expert in educational consulting.
Before launching her practice in 2006, Rebecca served as the Education and Youth Officer for the U.S. Department of State, advocating for Foreign Service families worldwide. She earned a Superior Honor Award and a Franklin Award for her work.
Married to a retired U.S. diplomat, she raised three children abroad and has lived in over a dozen countries. She brings both professional insight and personal experience to her work.
Michelle Grappo, Ed.M, is an Educational and Therapeutic Consultant with RNG International Educational Consultants LLC™.With a foundation as a school psychologist, she understands the critical intersection between academics and social-emotional development. She works with students and families navigating traditional boarding schools, therapeutic programs, and young adult transition options.
Michelle grew up in a Foreign Service family and spent many of her formative years overseas. As a Third Culture Kid, she understands firsthand the opportunities and challenges that come with global mobility. This perspective informs her work with internationally mobile families and globally minded students, allowing her to offer compassionate, practical, and culturally responsive guidance.
Michelle began her career as a school psychologist in public and charter schools in New York City and Denver. She earned her Master’s in School Psychology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a Bachelor’s in History from the College of William and Mary. She is also a proud alumna of The Madeira School, a boarding school near Washington, DC.
Now based in West Hollywood, California, Michelle enjoys working with students across the U.S. and internationally. She is deeply passionate about education, mental health, and helping each student thrive.
