2025 Summer Reading Program

Ready, Set, Read!!  

The Foreign Service Youth Foundation (FSYF) and Hemispheres Academy are thrilled to announce the launch of their second annual Summer Reading Program (SRP), aimed specifically at our Foreign Service kids.  We know it's hard to incorporate reading into summer fun and even harder to do so while on R&R, during PCS chaos, or while simply trying to enjoy precious time with faraway families and friends.  

We've once again made reading life easier.  We've added to last year's comprehensive book list and have created another series of weekly updates to motivate your kids!  Encourage them to select a reading metric (number of books or pages read or time spent reading) and have them track their progress with our reading log.  Spark the curiosity of other readers by authoring book reviews and compiling favorite book lists that the SRP can share.  Play book BINGO and/or Book Madness (stay tuned for details!).  And stay tuned for special summer engagements and prizes at the end of the reading period. 

All your kids need to do is log their reading from June 1st to August 31st and check back in with us when/as it works for you!  Register by using the button at the left.  If you have multiple readers participating in the SRP, please register them individually.  

The SRP aims to keep kids engaged academically over the summer while fostering lifelong learning habits, expanding vocabulary, and supporting social and emotional learning. We hope you and your kids will join us!
